Computer Diagnostics
OK, you have a computer problem. You can see something's not right but what is the problem, exactly?
Is it a simple fix costing a few dollars or do you need a whole new system?
A computer diagnostic will tell us exactly what the issue is. Be it a hardware problem, like a video card or power supply or a virtual issue like a virus or incompatibility conflict. This optional service can save everybody time, grief and inevitably save you money.
We charge a nominal fee of $25.00 per computer.

Labor Costs:
There is a $25 diagnostic fee per computer
Per hour, we charge $50
If the system is in serious trouble, we may have to "borrow" your computer over-night to fully reinstall, update, optimize and secure properly. If this is the case, we charge a flat rate of $150.00
Back or recovery of last or damaged file is also available
No extra costs for house calls if you live within the "free zone" Make sure to check the map.

Reformat and Reinstalling your computer
Sometimes, a simple house call is not enough to solve a serious computer issue and the total "wipe out" is in order. For this we need to borrow your computer for a day or so.
A wipe-out means that we completely erase everything on the hard drive and then reinstall everything; including the drivers, your software, Windows updates. Then we optimize your system and when we bring it back, we make sure your Internet and Email is configured right and we reinstall your external hardware such as printers, cameras and such.
Don't worry about loosing all your personal files such as pictures, emails, accounting information and anything else because we can also do a complete backup of your system for a small surcharge.

Viruses, Malware, Trojans, Worms, Spyware and other Gremlins
Very common problem that if not taken care of quickly, only gets worse.
You catch these dangerous "Gremlins" off of infected websites, Emails and bad software. Anti-virus software reduces the risk of infection but in no way does it guarantees that you won't and once infected, seldom is it able to remove it completely.
Once infected, you're computer begins to deteriorate
attempts to infect other computer though your network or by email, deletes your files, slows your computer to a crawl and eventually crashes the whole system.
Anti-virus and anti-spyware programs don't always do the job but, our technicians always do; guaranteed!
Watching our technicians in action can be a rewarding and educational experience, as well.

Computer Upgrades
Computers evolve fast and once in a while, they need to be updated or else they can no longer keep up with a faster Internet and more demanding software.
We can evaluate your system and add additional memory, another hard drive, modernize the motherboard and/or processor and assure that you're always ahead of the technology game
Because of the relatively inexpensive costs of upgrading a computer, many people choose this option as opposed to buying a new computer.

Limited 3 day warrantee on all services:
We offer a three day guarantee on all services provided.
If within 3 days (72 hours) of a service call you experience the (SAME ISSUE) SOS computer will return to your home and freely repair the issue at no cost to you. However it's a separate or independent issue, labor costs for a return visit will be added but diagnostics fee will be waived
If a situation is related or not to the original customer's declaration and on-site service call, is solely determined by a licensed technician under the employ of SOS Computer Repair.
SOS Computer offers a limited 30 day warrantee for all hardware sold which covers manufacturer's defects. This does not include misuse, incompatibility or lack of operational knowledge.
Most products are by the manufactures themselves and their information is in the documentation given to you at the time of sale.

We offer a No Fix, No Fee guarantee
This means, if you hire us to fix a specific issue and at the end of the service call the specified issue is not corrected, we will not charge you!.
Upon successful completion of the service, the technician will demonstrate to you that the issue has been resolved concluding our visit.
